In Gargilesse, cross the village towards the Creuse and park at the picnic area, just south of the confluence of the Ruisseau Gargilesse.
Red and yellow markings for theGRP®® Val de Creuse
(S/E) Return to the confluence, follow the D39 to the left and ignore the bridge on the left.
(1) About 50 metres further on, follow the path to the left and stay on the banks of the Creuse.
(2) Pass the picnic area and a house at Le Pin. Continue as close as possible to the river as it winds around the circular Boucle du Pin, on a path that is sometimes narrow and surrounded by lush vegetation.
(3) Further on, theGRP®® leaves the Creuse and climbs up to higher ground. Join a road, follow it to the left, then continue along the path. Shortly afterwards, take a very short detour to the left for a view of the valley.
(4) Return to the path and continue to the left. About 300 metres further on, take another short detour to the left for a viewpoint above the Barrage de la Roche Bat-l'Aigue dam.
(5) Return to the path and continue left on a small road. Pass a few houses.
(6) Further on, leave the road and take a path on the left. Shortly after crossing the Ruisseau du Gué stream, theGRP®® joins the D48.
(7) Turn around and return to the car park (S/E) via the same route you took on the way there.
