(S/E) From Col d'Arnostéguy, take the track that descends to the left of the enclosure. Go around the side of the Urkulu summit to the shoulder. About 50 metres away, you will see a rectangular grassy embankment, the remains of an ancient redoubt, a stronghold used during wars, particularly against Napoleon's armies. Also worth noting near the path are the megalithic monuments characterised by a circle of stones and the dolmen.
(1) From the shoulder, leave the track and climb directly towards the Urkulu Tower. At the rocky outcrops, avoid them by going to the right. Return to the left and, above all, do not lose sight of the yellow markings that avoid the rocky sections. You will see the stone tower from an intermediate grassy terrace. Take the path to the right of the rocks, walking across the sharp limestone pavement, and return to the tower on the left. Be careful to stay on the path, as there is a cliff nearby. Do not climb the tower in order to preserve the site's remains.
(2) The descent is via a path just below the rocky edge of the grassy terrace. Descend towards the car park at the Col d'Arnostéguy (S/E).
