(S/E) Standing in front of the church and the magnificent wash house with a bear on its pediment (originating from Urcy), we take the street leading straight down into the village (towards the north-east). At the fork, stay on the Grande Rue and at the next fork, ignore the Voie de Fleurey on the left.
At the last houses, take the path on the right, which quickly descends for 1 km. After a rapid descent into a valley, we arrive at an intersection of dirt tracks.
(1) Take the path opposite. Follow this path in the direction of "Ferme de Leuzeu". When the path makes a sharp right turn, continue straight ahead on the path, which leads directly to the ruins of the Ferme de Leuzeu (see explanations in "Things to see" below).
(2) After the farm, take a path on the right with a steep incline, which will lead directly to the Col de la Mialle, well known to hikers in the Côte d'Or.
A Côte d'Or CDRP signpost indicates that we should take theGR®7opposite and to our left. We follow theGR®7for 60 metres and then leave it, taking a path that branches off to the left. We follow this path to a crossroads. We continue straight on until we reach the top of the Combe du Chêne.
(3) We turn left to follow the top of the combe. We follow this path, which offers magnificent views over the Combe du Leuzeu, to a rocky promontory called "La Roche Pompon". This is a magnificent viewpoint offering a bird's eye view of the combe and the villages of Urcy and Quemigny-Poisot in the distance, with Clémencey on the left. It's the ideal place to stop for a snack.
(4) We continue along this path for 600 metres.
(5) When we reach a crossroads, we leave the marked path, continue for about 30 metres and turn left. We begin a long descent under the deciduous trees for 1.2 km, ignoring several paths we encounter over a very short distance.
(6) We then turn left onto a path perpendicular to the contour lines. We arrive at a wider path, which we take, turning left. We follow it for 1.4 km and rejoin the marked path we left further upstream.
(7) We turn right to begin a steep descent. This descent is very rocky and must be taken with caution. We arrive at a white path.
(8) We follow it to the right for 30 metres and take a path to the left, making a hairpin turn. We climb for 500 metres and, at the top of this climb, we take a path to the right that leads us to a field.
(9) When you reach this field, take the path on the left that runs alongside the woods.
(10) You will arrive at the departmental road. Follow it to the left, then take a small municipal road on the left that will lead you directly to the church of Urcy (S/E).
