Park near the amusement park or the former Imperial Palace in Menton. You can also reach it from the station located a few hundred metres away.
Preliminary remark: during this day, several roads to cross or walk along require caution and vigilance.

(S/E) From the former Imperial Palace at 9 Avenue de la Madone, take the road called Cor des Serres de la Madone. About a hundred metres after the start, turn right onto Chemin de la Madone. Pass through a wooded area with large steps. After the old paved slanting street railway bridge, cross the Cor des Serres de la Madone three times with caution.
(1) Continue straight ahead on the path down the valley. This is a dead-end road. Take the dirt path, which becomes a path with steps
(2) Turn left carefully and walk along the Cor des Serres de la Madone. You will reach a crossroads.
(3) Continue to marker 487: Serres de la Madone.
Yellow markings
(4) Follow the marked trail to marker 486, which begins between two fences, then crosses a beautiful wooded area. Turn right onto the road called Chemin du Col de Garde towards Sainte-Agnès until you reach marker 485.
(5) Turn left, still towards Sainte-Agnès, onto Chemin du Fortin. Pass over the motorway, which is in a tunnel. Walk alongside an old buried Maginot Line structure and continue along the road to the fort until you reach marker 484.
(6) Walk along the Route de l'Armée des Alpes for about 200 metres, then head for marker 483 (there are two markers 483, but the one we're interested in is on the left and somewhat hidden). Leave the Route de l'Armée des Alpes and take Chemin de Chiauso on the left. Cross the Route de l'Armée des Alpes twice, then follow the signs for the walking route. Continue until you reach marker 452a.
(7) Continue towards Sainte-Agnès. Cross the road at marker 452 and continue to marker 451.
(8) Continue straight ahead, walk along the village below and cross a beautiful forest area. Follow the path to marker 450, then reach the Sainte-Agnès Chapel and marker 440.
(9) Cross Route de l'Orméa with caution. Then turn right towards Village de Sainte-Agnès - Ruines du Château. Walk past the chapel, which is the start of the Saint-Sébastien walk leading to Sainte-Agnès. Cross the village via Rue Comtes Léotardi and Rue des Sarrasins. At the end of these old streets, walk alongside the enormous Maginot Line fort.
(10) Then take the path next to the restaurant. This stony path starts at marker 461. Follow the signs for Chapelle Sainte-Lucie. When you reach marker 462, turn right and follow the winding path downhill to the crossroads at marker 463.
(11) Turn right onto Chemin de Pisa, towards Chapelle Sainte-Lucie. You will reach the crossroads at marker 464.
(12) Take the road opposite to reach the Sainte-Lucie Chapel.
(13) Return to the previous crossroads.
(12) Turn left and carefully follow Route de la Colline to reach Col de l'Olive, marker 465.
(14) Leave Route de la Colline and take Sentier de la Colline on the left. Follow the signs for Hameau de Colline - Mairie de Sainte-Agnès. This stepped path crosses Chemin de la Colline again. Continue straight ahead on the path that starts at the corner of the house and passes under a house about 50 metres further on. You will reach Route de Saint-Jean.
(15) Turn right and follow it with caution. Walk along the start of Chemin d'Almana, continue with caution on Route de Saint-Jean and take the stairs on the right, where you will see the Sentier du Pian sign. Turn left just before a house and walk along a wall before passing under another house. At Route du Pian, turn left to join Route de l'Armée des Alpes. Follow it carefully and you will reach a sharp bend.
(16) Take the stairs on the right that run alongside the house. Follow the signs for Sentier des Boschi. Note: it looks like you are entering private property, but this is not the case. Climb steadily, passing citrus trees and a small wooded area. Join Route de l'Armée des Alpes.
(17) Cross it and continue carefully along Chemin de la Vigne to reach the crossroads at marker 485, which you passed earlier.
(5) Take the road on the left and follow the same route as on the way out until you reach the crossroads.
(3) Turn left onto Chemin de Sainte-Agnès and follow it. At the end of the paved area, marker 436, take the stairs to reach Avenue Cernuschi in the middle of the urban area.
(18) Turn right. Just before the railway bridge, turn right onto Avenue Maréchal Juin. At the end, turn left, carefully pass under the tunnel, and follow Avenue du Pigautier to the chapel. Turn right onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle to reach the car park of the former Palace Impérial (S/E).
