Park in the Corderies car park, which has 200 free spaces. (Check to see if it is still free.)
(S/E) When you leave the car park, head towards Rue Saint-Pierre and turn right into Rue du Tivoli. At the end of this street, turn slightly right into Rue des Moulins and follow it to the bottom, where you will join Rue de la Ferté.
After following Rue de la Ferté for 20 metres, turn left onto the tiny Rue des Pilotes, then immediately right onto Rue Roche Madone, then left onto Rue des Bateliers.
(1) Climb up to the Calvaire des Marins via the steps and descend via the Calvaire path. Continue to Rue Jules Gaffe. Cross this street and take the small passage on the left of the house in La Ruelle des Matelots. At the end of the passage, cross the road to reach Place des Pilotes.
At Place des Pilotes, turn left and follow Quai Courbet, then Quai Jeanne d'Arc, continuing along the road to Cap Hornu. At the end of the road, ignore the first path on the left and continue straight ahead.
(2) Leave this road by turning left and take the road between two stone markers indicating the direction of the Chapelle Saint-Valéry.
Climb up to the Chapelle Saint-Valéry, take the path to the left of the chapel and follow the street. At the first crossroads, continue straight ahead. At the second crossroads, take the street on the left to enter Rue de l'Abbaye. Follow this street until you reach Porte Jeanne d'Arc.
(3) Go through the Porte Jeanne d'Arc and follow Rue Jean de Bailleul for 60 metres to take the path on the left of the road. Continue straight ahead to reach Place Saint-Martin and its church. Walk along the right-hand side of the church and turn immediately right into Rue du Puits Salé.
(4) At the second street, turn right onto Rue de l'Échaux.
At the end of the street, turn left onto Rue de Ponthieu and pass Rue du Comte Robert.
(5) Turn left onto Rue Brandt. Follow Rue Rovau and join Rue de Comte Robert. Turn right here, then at the end, turn right again onto Rue du Puits Salé and continue for 50 metres.
(6) At the war memorial, turn left and continue along Rue Jules Brulé. Cross this street and turn into Rue de Neuville. Follow the street to the first crossroads and turn left onto Rue Saint-Augustin. Continue uphill until you reach Rue du Tivoli, then Rue Saint-Pierre to reach the Corderies car park (S/E).
