Park in Bretel in a square with a transformer that has been given a makeover with a mural.
(S/E) Start opposite the transformer and then turn left. Continue along the road running alongside a woodland. You’ll reach a crossroads with four perpendicular roads.
(1) Turn left, then right at the edge of the woodland. At the crossroads marked by a cross, veer left to reach the Bois des Bruyères.
::2: Enter the woods and, following a straight stretch, reach the junction with theGR®125.
(3) Turn right onto theGR® marked in white and red, continue through the woods and descend slightly to reach Neuville, after passing a large farm.
(4) Leave theGR® here and turn right, crossing through Neuville. Pass the castle to reach a five-way junction.
(5) Take the left-hand street, now following the Bois de Neuville. Then pass by the Le Picardy campsite. Continue to Pinchefalise and join the D3 junction.
(6) Cross it with care, then continue almost directly opposite along Rue du Canal to reach the lay-by before the bridge near the left bank of the Somme.
(7) Turn right onto theGR®800and head away from the banks of the Somme. Walk past the hamlet of Les Falaises and then the Bois aux Carottes. You will arrive at the junction with Rue François Cure.
(8) Leave theGR® here and take Rue François Cure, which climbs slightly to the right, to reach the junction by Boismont Town Hall.
(9) First turn right then left here onto Rue de l’Égalité, passing the two cemeteries. Stay on this road, then follow the edge of the Bois de Bretel to reach the transformer station car park (S/E).
