Red and white markings
(S/E) Facing the town hall (or the church), turn right (west) and follow theGR®1along Rue Schlumberger. At the traffic lights, turn right onto the D407 (Rue Yves Cariou) towards Garches. Follow this road on the left-hand pavement, turn left and walk between two property walls.
(1) In a right-hand bend and before the Marnes-la-Coquette exit sign, leave the road and turn sharply left onto a wide path. Ignore a path on the right, climb up along a wall on your left and make a right-hand turn. At the various crossroads, continue straight ahead with the GR®.
Yellow markings
At the Croisement des Ormes, turn left onto a wide path (let theGR® go straight ahead). At the next crossroads, continue straight ahead.
No markings
At the next crossroads (Carrefour du Haras), turn right.
(3) Go through the entrance gate to the Parc départemental du Haras de Jardy. At the fork immediately ahead, follow the cement path to the left. After a few metres, at the T-junction (map), turn right and walk along a large horse pasture on your left. At the next crossroads, continue straight ahead, pass through a forest gate and walk between two areas of pasture or equestrian competition grounds. Stay on the main sandy path.
At the junction just after a wooden dovecote on the left-hand side (information board), continue straight ahead. Go through another forest gate and go around the left-hand side of a roundabout facing the main stud farm buildings.
(4) At the corner of the building, turn left and walk along a pasture on your left. Pass the stables on your right at some distance. At the end of the lane (map), turn left and walk along the fence on your right. When the concrete lane curves to the left, leave it and turn sharply right, leaving the Pavillon de la Faisanderie (actually a small house) on your right.
Yellow markings
(5) Go through the gate to exit the park, ignore a path immediately on the left (the path on the right is blocked) and continue straight ahead (south-southeast) to a small car park at the side of the road. At the end of the car park, follow a path through the undergrowth on the left. At the crossroads (plot no. 38), continue straight ahead. At the next crossroads (plot no. 50), continue straight ahead on thePR®4(ignore the yellow markings forthe PR®5on the wide perpendicular path).
No markings
(6) At the next junction (still plot no. 50), ignore the yellow arrow pointing to the right and continue straight ahead on a bridle path. Cross the Chemin des Boeufs (tarmac road) and continue straight ahead on a street with the Parc de Marnes wall on your left. At the crossroads, take thesecond street on the right towards Ville-d'Avray.
Red and white + yellow markings
Follow Avenue Thierry and, at numbers 31-35, turn left onto Rue Neuve Thierry. Continue straight ahead and note that further on, the street is now called Rue Jean Minaud (we have now entered Marnes-la-Coquette). Before the end of the street, follow the road sign and turn left onto Rue Gabriel Sommer. Pass by the church. At the corner of the church, leave the street on the right, cross a small square between the town hall and the church and you will find yourself back at Place de la Mairie (S/E).
