Artichoke-heart corn from Allériot

This is an educational trail. Jack la Panouille spent many years of his childhood in Allériot. He still cherishes the memory of a young girl from Bey with whom he is still secretly in love. With Max’s help, Jack decides to pluck up his courage and go and declare his love to the beautiful Adélaïde. Puzzles are dotted along the route to help the two friends reach their goal.

Worth a visit

The Church of Saint-Martin in Allériot is characterised by a bell tower with multicoloured glazed tiles reminiscent of the one in Louhans and the roof of the Hospices de Beaune. It houses two bells, one dating from 1552 and the other from 1768.

In Bey, the Saugy wash house, also known as the ‘Lower’ Wash House or the Gossips’ Wash House, is built from local stone and features a traditional long-pitched roof. This neighbourhood wash house allowed the hamlet’s residents to wash their laundry nearby without having to go to the village centre.
