Park on Allée des Frangipaniers or Allée des Mandariniers.
(S/E) Cross the small bridge to start the hike and keep right at the junction about 20 metres further on. Climb up the Sentier de la Thys to a new intersection.
(1) Continue to the right along the same path, leaving the return path on your left. Continue to the next fork.
(2) Turn right and follow the same path.
(3) Cross a bamboo grove and continue along the winding path.
(4) Begin the passage on a section with smooth ground. Be careful, from this point onwards, many sections of smooth stones can be slippery. Continue to the next fork.
(5) Go up to the left and do the same at the next intersection less than 200 m away. Go around the old quarry to the south and you will reach a sign saying "Danger, invasive plant".
(6) A few metres before this, take the path that climbs slightly steeply to the left.
(7) Keep left on the path that runs along the cliff edge, reach the old quarry and arrive at Mont Algoué.
(8) Continue along the Sentier du Mont Algoué, which leads back.
(9) Turn left to descend a path that is very steep in places: take your time and use walking sticks if possible. Continue along the Mont Algoué trail.
(10) Turn left to follow this path, which is not very well maintained on this section, with a lot of vegetation in places: follow the GPS track carefully. Return to the ascent route.
(2) Continue straight ahead, in the opposite direction to the outward journey.
(1) Head to the right so you don't have to return entirely by the same route. Find the fork at the start, cross the bridge again and return to the car park (S/E).
