Park in one of the car parks at Port Dienville.
Yellow markings
(S/E) From the Port-Dienville esplanade, take the Vélovoie des Lacs cycle path towards Lac du Temple. Follow this cycle path, which runs along the Radonvilliers dyke holding back Lac d'Amance, to the canal connecting Lac d'Amance and Lac du Temple. Head for the Petit Breuil car park.
(1) Stay on the cycle path to reach the bridge over the arm connecting Lac d'Amance and Lac d'Auzon-Temple.
(2) Cross the bridge and leave the cycle path. Take the white path on the left after the bridge. After about 150 metres, you will come to the Lac d'Amance bird observatory (free access). Continue along this white path which runs alongside the lake. You will come to a three-way junction, where the Voie aux Vaches and the Ligne des Dammes meet.
(3) Leave the Voie aux Vaches (barrier) on your right and continue along the Ligne des Dames. Turn left immediately to cross the tail end of the lake. At the top of the hill, you will arrive at the Pavillon Henri.
(4) Turn left and continue straight ahead to reach a small bridge a few metres further on.
Cross it and then turn left onto a dirt track that runs alongside the stream. Follow the supply canal on the right, which collects water from the Aube river and carries it to Lac d'Amance. You will reach the D443.
(5) Take the pavement on the left on the D443 to cross the bridge over the canal. After the bridge, take the dirt track on the left at the end of the car park and follow it along the wild banks of the lake (please note that this path can be muddy and slippery in winter and when the lake is at its highest). Leave the woods.
(6) Turn left and then right onto the white path called Voie aux Larrons.
(7) Before the road, turn left onto a dirt track at the edge of the pastures. Follow this path along the lake to the beach and then to the Port de Dienville (S/E).
