Start at the exit of the Super-Châtel cable car station (see timetables and prices in the practical information section).
(S/E) Head south-east and follow the signs for Lac de Conche.
(1) Go around Lac de Conche on the left, follow the signs for Chalet Neuf and pass a building on your left. Continue south-east on a track open to motor vehicles.
(2) At Chalet Neuf, continue south-southeast towards Portes de Culet on a marked trail with a steep slope. N.B. You can take the road to the right of the trail, which winds its way to the same place.
(3) At Portes de Culet (the highest point of this hike with a view of the Dents du Midi), begin to descend the mountain pasture towards Les Ecottis (due south). Arrive at the tarmac road known as Sepaz and follow this road until you reach the "Les Ecottis" footpath sign. Continue along this path.
(4) At an unmarked fork (be careful), leave the tarmac road and take the upper path on the right called "Route des Têtes", which passes close to a chalet with a balcony view of Morgins.
(5) Just after Ferme Le Sepaz (pedestrian sign), turn right towards Buvette du Corbeau via the upper path. Go around the refreshment bar at the back towards Cheval Blanc and walk for 2 km on a wooded hillside path with some panoramic views.
(6) At the fence crossing, take a path on the right with a very steep climb up the slope (pedestrian signs on the trees). Pass under an arch-shaped tree and then, at the top of the path, follow the ridge, turning left before reaching Cheval Blanc and its panoramic view of Super-Châtel and Morclan.
(7) Continue along the ridge heading west-northwest, then follow the path that descends steeply to the left. At a path junction (unmarked), turn right to reach Lac de la Mouille.
(8) Then follow the signs for Super-Châtel to reach the cable car station (S/E).
