The start is from the square between the town hall and the cemetery.
(S/E) Cross the road, turn left downhill and at the end of the cemetery wall, turn right onto Rue Lamartine. Pass a starting point on the right and about 50 metres further on, leave the street and turn right onto Chemin de la Rupière. The path leads to a road, which you take to the right and at the next crossroads, continue to the right.
(1) Take the first road on the left and follow the yellowPR® markings to the hamlet of Blied. After a bend, the road continues along a wide path and then a narrower track.
(2) At the junction of this path with a wide track, turn right, still following thePR® markings, which will take you to the hamlet of Blied, which you cross.
(3) At the Blied wash house, leave thePR® markings on your left and turn right to find the red and whiteGR® markings, which you will follow to the chapel of Moirieu.
(4) At the chapel, cross the road and follow theGR® markings opposite to descend into the village of Moirieu via a footpath.
(5) At the bread oven, take the road on the left markedGR®, which continues along a path after the last houses and which you will follow to the hamlet of Les Granges. Before reaching elevation 296, take the path on the right, markedGR® and not shown on the map. Keep left at the fork that follows.
(6) At the hamlet of Les Granges, leave theGR® on your left and descend to the right into the hamlet. Cross the hamlet and take the road on the left, Rue des Arèmes, then the next left, Rue des Roseaux.
(7) Turn left onto Rue du Four, then right onto Rue des Lavandières. At the fountain, rejoin theGR® markings, which we follow.
(8) At the crossroads, leave theGR® trail on the left and continue straight ahead, following the yellowPR® markings. Pass Château de Bienassis and continue straight ahead until you reach the D75.
(9) Cross it (carefully) and continue straight ahead following the yellow markings. Cross Beptenoud then continue along Rue de la Maison Forte, which you follow until you reach the roundabout.
(10) Cross it on the right, pass between the bread oven and the fountain and turn right onto the dead-end road. Follow it to the Étang de la Besseye.
(11) At the pond, turn right onto the old railway line and follow it to the D75.
(12) Cross the road, take the first path on the right and then immediately left. Then take the first road on the left in the housing estate and, at the end, turn right to join a road. Follow it for about 50 metres, cross the road and take the first right.
(13) Turn left to enter the "Le Château" housing estate and follow Rue Commanderie, then Rue de Montiracle, turning right at the exit of the housing estate. Continue following the yellowPR® markings, which will take you straight back to the starting point (S/E).
