Departure from the Charles Vacheron Gymnasium car park in Crémieu.
(S/E) From the car park, head towards the school (at the closed corner of the car park). Take the lane and pass between the buildings. Come out onto Rue des Capucins and cross it. Take the dirt track at the end of the car park on the right. Follow the track (old railway line) until it comes out onto a small road. Turn left. Go under the bridge and turn left again. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and continue on the left.
(1) Take the first street on the right, Montée de la Tyne (D140). Turn right onto Chemin de Tortu. Follow it to the end of the road.
(2) Take the path on the right behind the wall. At the junction with a small road, turn right. This continues along a path which you should follow until the first path on the left after the hamlet of Sigalet.
(3) Turn left (yellowPR® sign) then follow the first path on the right, just before arriving at Montlouvier. Cross a path (not shown on the map) and continue straight ahead. At the end of the woods, ignore a path that branches off to the right.
(4) Continue to the hamlet of Peyrieu. Before the first houses, turn right then left at the first path. Further on, take the first path on the right that goes uphill.
(5) At the three-way junction with a tree in the middle, turn left and follow the path (yellow cross) to the road.
(6) Cross the road, take the path opposite which goes around the pond and comes out onto the D140 road. Turn left onto the road, then cross to take Rue de l'église, which turns right.
(7) At the Dizimieu Mairie signpost, follow the Janay. Go down towards the cemetery, turn right onto Chemin du Vert Poulet. At the Janay signpost, turn right towards La Bonardelle and follow the road which continues along a path.
(8) At the La Bonardelle signpost, follow Cuinat and Coquier on the left. At the 333 mark, continue on the path opposite, slightly to the right. Do not take the path on the far right. Turn left at the second path (fences on the right), do not go down. Follow the yellow marked path on the left.
(9) Follow it to the Cuinat and Coquier signpost. At this signpost, follow Crémieu Piéton Saint-Hippolyte.
(10) At the Saint-Hippolyte signpost, turn right towards Crémieu piétons. Go past the chain, turn left and go past the association des remparts building on your right. Continue straight ahead. Follow the path along the wall. When you reach the tower, go under the gate and go down to the road.
(11) Turn left, cross the road and take Rue Notre Dame des Reclus, which continues as Rue Saint-Antoine. At Rue du Marché Vieux, turn left and follow the road until you reach the stop sign. Turn left, go down Cote Chausson and continue to the market halls.
(12) Cross Rue du Colonel Bel. Enter the market halls and cross them. Turn right onto Rue Porcherie and pass in front of the church. Turn left at the end of the cloister, then pass under the porch to the right of the Town Hall.
(13) Cross Cours Baron Raverat and join the square on the right. Head towards L'Auberge de la Chaite. At the end of the square, turn left onto Rue des Capucins. Follow it to the school. At the Chaîte signpost, turn right and return to the car park where you started (S/E).
