Park in the Charles Vacheron Gymnasium car park.
(S/E) From the car park, head towards the school (at the closed corner of the car park). Take the lane, pass between the buildings and come out onto Rue des Capucins. Cross the street, take the dirt track at the end on the right of the car park and follow the old railway line until it comes out onto a small road. Turn left, go under the bridge and turn left again. Follow the pavement and then the gravel path.
(1) Cross Rue du Lieutenant Théodose Morel and continue along the path. Then follow Rue Paul Garcin, cross the car park of the Salle des Fêtes. Turn left until you reach the pedestrian crossing, cross Cours Baron Raverat and continue to the left.
Continue to the Centre des Finances Publiques and turn right. When you reach the post office, go around it on the right and take the stairs on the left along the ramparts. Leave a path that descends to the right and continue up the stairs on the left.
(2) Turn right onto Montée Saint-Laurent and follow it until Rue Frandin. Turn left onto Place du Platre, then right onto Rue du Marché Vieux. Follow it until the second car park entrance on the left and cross it.
Turn left onto Chemin des Docteurs Labonnardière. Just before reaching the priority sign, take Chemin de Marie Siffle on the right between two walls. Follow it until you reach the road (Chemin du Luminaire). Turn right. Before the priority sign, turn right and take the small road that leads to Place du Petit Collège.
(3) Cross the square and take the street on the right. At the Quirieu gate, turn right onto Rue du Marché Vieux. At the stop sign, turn left onto Côte Chausson, leaving Côte Faulchet on your right, which you will come back to later. Turn left again onto Rue du Four Banal. At the end of the street, turn left and then immediately right. Head towards Porte Neuve, go through it and then turn left until you reach the pedestrian crossing. Cross the street, turn left and continue to the intersection.
(4) Turn right towards Siccieu, then right again. Take Chemin de Chaillonnette. At the fork, leave the yellow-marked path on your left and continue straight ahead. Pass the first path on your right. When you come to a wider path, continue right and follow it until you reach the Saint-Hippolyte signpost.
Turn right towards Crémieu piétons. Go past the chain and turn left. Go past the Association des Remparts building. Turn right between two low walls, take the first entrance on the left and head towards the opening opposite. Continue straight ahead, go past the low wall and take the stairs on the left.
At the bottom of the stairs, turn left and follow the path along the cliff, which offers a view of the town of Crémieu and the plains of Lyon. When you reach the Saint-Hyppolyte Tower, go under the gate and down to the car park.
(5) Cross the car park, heading towards the bottom right, take the stairs that lead to Rue Vie Vielle, then turn left. When you reach the road, turn right. Cross the road at the first pedestrian crossing and enter the covered market. At the third crossing, turn right to come out opposite Rue Mulet. Follow this road up to the Ursulines building, then turn left onto Côte Faulchet. Leave Rue Saint-Jean, which descends to the left, and continue to the end of the road on the right until you reach Rue Frandin.
(6) Turn left into this street, then left again into Montée du Château Delphinal. When you reach the church, turn right, then left at the end of the cloister. Pass under the porch to the right of the town hall. Cross Cours Baron Raverat and join the square on the right. Head towards the Auberge de la Chaite. At the end of the square, cross Rue des Capucins and turn left, following the road until you reach the school. At the Chaite signpost, turn right and return to the car park where you started (S/E).
