If you are travelling by car, park along Estrada do Porto do Mos.
(S/E) Follow this road along a large vacant lot. Continue past beautiful villas and a hotel complex.
(1) Then turn left onto Rua Aparicio Augusto da Silva Palma, then take the second right onto Rua do Canavial.
This cul-de-sac then turns left and continues straight ahead to a small car park.
(2) The trailhead is at the end of the car park. Follow the wooden walkway above Praia do Canavial at first, then above jagged cliffs.
Don't miss the viewing points on the right to enjoy this magnificent spectacle.
Continue along the path towards the lighthouse (Farol da Ponta da Piedade) and take the path that goes around it on the right.
(3) From the lighthouse, head towards the point to see an amazing depression and enjoy a view of the western coast of this cape. Retrace your steps.
(3) Pass to the right of the lighthouse and descend towards the sea via the steps to admire a superb natural arch in an almost enclosed bay.
Climb back up and rejoin the road. Walk along the car park and follow the tracks on the right for a beautiful view of the eastern part of the cape.
(4) Return to the road and follow it to the right towards Lagos.
(5) At the intersection, turn right towards Praia do Camilo. At the restaurant, go down the steps on the left to see this beautiful sandy beach at the foot of the cliffs.
(6) Then climb back up to the road.
(5) Continue on the right towards Lagos. Pass a huge abandoned building and then turn left onto Rua Profesor Doutor Luis de Albuquerque to return to the starting point. (S/E)
