Access: From Sarzeau, take the D198 towards Penvins.
In Penvins, leave the D198 road and continue towards the tip. Turn right into the dead-end street and park in the small, signposted car park on the right.
(S/E) At the end of the car park, turn right and follow the road "Chemin de Kercado", which ends at a barrier.
(1) Turn right, then left, and continue straight ahead until you reach the dune. There's a view of the large beach "Plage de Penvins" on the right and, on the left, the tip of the peninsula towards which we'll be heading.
Markings GR®34 White and Red.
(2) At the sea, turn left and follow the top of the beach in a south-easterly direction. Go past the campsite and car park to reach the peninsula.
(3) Reach the chapel "Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-La-Côte", where you'll find an explanatory sign. Head towards the tip of the peninsula along the coastal path: a vast view point overlooking the south Morbihan coast.
Continue around the peninsula. On your right, at low tide, you'll see a recumbent menhir called "La Truie". Reach the car park near the chapel and continue along the road "Route de la Chapelle".
Turn right onto the coastal path. This runs alongside some beautiful properties and sometimes requires you to go over the top of the beach. Continue along the seafront, passing the roads "Chemin des Trois Pierres Blanches" and "Chemin du Mur de Roy", both on the left. Pass the "Pointe de Becudo", then a swamp area on your left. A colony of great cormorants has taken up residence in the trees lining the ponds.
Unmarked
(5) In sight of the bridge "Pont de Banastère", turn left onto a wide path currently under construction. It doesn't appear on the map, but you can't miss it. Follow this winding path to a housing estate.
(6) Take a path to the left (not marked on the map) and follow it. It joins the road "Chemin du Mur du Roy", which you turn right onto. If you see the alley "Allée des Bruyères" on your right, retrace your steps: you've passed the path you need to take.
(7) Follow this asphalt road alongside a campsite. Join the road D198, which you follow straight on for about 100m, then turn left to find the car park (S/E).
