The starting point is the car park at Cleyzieu church. You can also park at the town hall car park, about a hundred metres further on.
(S/E) From the church, turn right onto the tarmac road Montée de l'Église Vieille heading north-west until you reach the first bend.
(1) Leave the road and continue straight ahead on the path, which turns into a trail, to reach Mont de l'Ange.
(2) At Mont de l'Ange, turn right towards the oven. Further on, leave the road that descends to the left and continue straight ahead. The road becomes a path.
(3) Take the first path on the right marked with yellow signs. Continue climbing through the woods. The path makes a sharp right turn and then opens onto meadows. Arrive at the viewpoint (unfortunately not very clear) over Serrieres, Saint-Rambert-en-Bugey and the small village of Blanaz.
(4) Follow the ridge along the path, which is not always very visible. Further on, a yellow marker on an oak tree indicates the path to the left. Continue across an open area until you reach a tarmac road.
(5) Cross the road and take the path opposite, slightly to the left (yellow marker). Then walk along a large wood storage area and you will soon reach a tarmac road.
(6) Cross the road, walking alongside a stone bench. Continue along this path, climbing towards the south-east, pass under a power line and arrive at the Crêt Saint Martin sign (altitude 730 m).
(7) Turn right towards Cleyzieu and you will come out onto a road near the first houses of Cleyzieu.
(8) At the crossroads, turn right, pass the decorative wine press on your right, then cross Cleyzieu. Further on, do not take the climb up to the castle towards the town hall, but stay on the left to reach the church car park (S/E).
