Park at the side of the road that branches off to the left of the D104 towards Averliaz.
(S/E) Follow this path to the three-way junction.
(1) Look for the return path on the right and take the gravel path on the left that climbs slightly. At the next junction, keep to the right and continue for about 50 metres.
(2) Take the path on the right that climbs up to the plateau and you will come to another intersection.
(3) Stay on the path on the right towards the small farm and reach the Croix de Suerme viewpoint.
(4) Stay on the left-hand path to pass in front of the farm and continue to the cliff. Follow it, turning right, and you will reach the Golet de la Batiaou junction.
(5) Be careful, the path is not very visible! Take the path opposite that descends into the woods, which may be a little slippery. Join the road.
(6) Follow it downhill to the left and cross the hamlet of Averliaz.
(7) At the exit, take the path on the right that passes between two houses. You will come to a fork near the D104.
(8) Do not head towards the road but stay on the path on the right.
(1) Continue left to reach the car park (S/E).
A very beautiful hike. Wide open spaces on the plateau and beautiful views all the way back after point 6. The village of Averliaz features typical regional architecture.
