(S/E) Departure point: Place de la Liberté in La Jarne, opposite the church. Take the footpath that goes around the square, following the stream (l'Otus) and Rue de L'Otus.
(1) Cross the wooden bridge and take Rue du Harbourg opposite. At the bend, take the small alley opposite towards the traffic lights at the school. Cross the road and follow a footpath on the right to the car park next to the school complex.
(2) Turn left onto Rue du Fief de Chuze, then take a small alleyway straight ahead that joins Chemin des Trainelles. Take this road on the right until you reach the clearly visible SNCF pylon.
(3) Cross the railway line at the foot of the pylon and continue straight ahead on a formerly tarmac road. After about 300 metres, you will reach a crossroads.
(4) Leave the road on your left and the path opposite, and continue right on a grassy path. Continue straight ahead, passing a first path on your left and a second on your right, and cross the Route de Clavette (D 203). Continue straight ahead, passing under the high-voltage power lines.
(5) At the Château du Treuil Chartier and its tennis court, continue straight ahead. Then turn right onto the path that joins Rue du Treuil Chartier in the Moulin à La Jarrie housing estate. At the end of the street, at the junction with Route de Clavette, turn right onto Rue des Deux Moulins and follow it to the end.
(6) Cross Rue de Chassagné (D 204) and continue straight ahead. Pass the DI building (on the right) and take a 90° right turn. The road deteriorates, but continue to the end. Turn left onto Chemin de La Jarrie, which turns 90° to the right 100 metres further on. Continue towards the hamlet of Chassagné.
(7) Just before the first houses in Chassagné, take a small path on the left that leads to an old level crossing on the La Rochelle-Paris TGV line.
(8) Cross the railway line and continue straight on along the road that leads to a place called L'Aubépin. Take the first right, Rue du Fief Girard Nord (or Chemin des Bonnelles). Pass behind a nursery and continue to the first houses. Enter the housing estate on the left via Rue du Pas de Garde.
(9) At the end of the cul-de-sac, a small footpath leads to Rue Nationale, which crosses La Jarne (D939). Cross and first turn right then left to enter Rue des Mouettes, then immediately right onto Rue des Sternes.
(10) Cross the square on the left and take the small alleyway that opens onto Rue des Goélands. Cross the square straight ahead and then the green space in front of you.
(11) At the bus shelter on Rue des Pluviers Dorés, follow the footpath on the right towards the town centre, first on the right-hand side of the street and then quickly on the left. Cross the first crossroads and continue along the same street.
(12) At the second crossroads, Place de La Liberté will come into view opposite. Cross at your convenience towards the car park opposite the church (S/E).
