Description of the walk

Parking in front of the church at Esnaazu.

(S/E) Take the road on the left in front of the church. Go round the Xotroenea farm on the left.

(1) Follow the stony track to the right between the meadows, and continue to the road. In the days of smuggling, the children of Bidarray would hide in the hollow chestnut trees. They would keep watch and imitate the hoot of an owl to alert the smugglers.

(2) Back on the road, climb the small “pattar” (steep slope) to the right, pass through Semederrenea, then join the D58 road heading towards Pamplona. Turn right, pass through Nobliaena to return to the starting point. Don’t forget your palas and pelota to play a few rounds at the frontón (S/E).
