Description of the walk

Start: Start from the Mont car park (981m) above the village of Servoz. Please note: to get to the car park, the road from Fieugerand does not allow you to pass by car.

(S) Head towards Chalets de Pormenaz (following the signs near the bridge) along a forest road up to Tête de la Fontaine.

(1) At the end of the road, take a left-hand path winding steeply up a south-facing slope. This leads to the Chalets de Pormenaz. Beautiful views of Mont Blanc can be seen here.

(2) From the chalets, head North towards Lac de Pormenaz. The path is next to the cliff face, allowing you to admire the scenery.

As you approach the lake, turn left. Pass through a small, steep passage with large stones (good shoes required).

(3) At the junction with the path from Chalets de Souay, continue straight on to Refuge de Moëde Anterne. Greenery, flowers and gulleys of water will run alongside the path until its end.

Arrive at the mountain hut with a view over the Mont Blanc mountain range (E).

Very nice hike, I recommend the diversions to the pointe noire de Pormenaz (marked path with yellow dots) with magnificent views over the lake and panoramic views from the summit. A lot of people arrived at the Pormenaz lake and the refuge (also at the pass of the same name on the return journey). The rest of the hike was very quiet.
