On the banks of the Sensée du Nord canals and the Sensée marshes

Park in the car park of the Aubigny-au-Bac leisure centre.
(S/E) In the car park, opposite the leisure centre, turn right towards the campsite.

(1) Leave the road on the right and turn left to pass in front of the campsite towards the sailing club. Cross the bridge and continue along a dirt track.
(2) You can make a round trip to the left towards the menhir. Continue along the path until you reach a footpath.

(3) Turn left onto the path (Rue de l'Abbaye) towards L'Escale, walking alongside the bungalows.
At the end of the marsh, continue for 100 metres along the road, then continue on the right-hand path which joins the Canal de la Sensée.
(4) Turn right onto the towpath of the Canal de la Sensée. Follow the path for about 3 kilometres until you reach the Arleux D47 bridge.

(5) Go under the bridge, climb the ramp on the right and cross the canal. After the bridge, turn left and walk down the towpath of the Canal du Nord for about 1.3 kilometres.

(6) At the "Bleu" bridge, turn right towards the centre of the village of Arleux, Rue du Bias, for about 1.3 kilometres.

(7) Turn left onto Rue des Murets Simon, then left again onto the D65 towards the renovated mill.

(8) At the roundabout, drive past the mill and turn right onto Chemin de le Rivière du Moulin towards the equestrian centre.

(9) This road continues as a farm track called Langhoy. Pass the boat moorings on your left and continue for about 1 kilometre along a path towards Hamel. As you approach the village, the path turns left. Continue to the crossroads, leaving Rue du Petit Pont on your right.
(10) At the crossroads, take the dirt track slightly to the left that runs alongside a wooded hedge. Pass the hunting huts and continue for about 1.5 kilometres.

(11) After 100 metres of tarmac road, turn left onto the^GR®121, following the Ecourt - Saint-Quentin marsh towards the village of Palluel. Pass between the Vieux Marais and the Grand Clair marshes for about 2 kilometres.
(12) 200 metres after the second bridge, leave the path on the right and follow the stream on the left along a dirt track, following the^GR®121towards the centre of Palluel.

(13) At the chapel, turn right onto Rue du Moulin towards the centre of Palluel until you reach the roundabout.
(14) Head towards Oisy-le-Verger, following Rue d'en Haut for about 1 kilometre until you reach the bridge over the Canal du Nord.

(15) Cross the bridge and turn left, then left again towards the towpath. Then turn right along the canal towards the Palluel lock, about 800 metres away.

(16) Walk along this lock and continue on the Canal du Nord towpath towards Arleux. Cross the Pont Bleu bridge and continue on the towpath towards the canal junction.
Follow the towpath around the motocross route and follow the Canal de la Sensée towpath towards Brunémont.

(17) Pass under the D14 road bridge via the towpath towards the railway bridge.
(18) Pass under the D643 bridge and return to the road via the path on your right.

(19) On the D643 road, turn right towards Aubigny for about 500 metres.
(20) At the roundabout, turn left towards the leisure centre, pass the cemetery and the level crossing to reach the leisure centre car park (S/E).

Please note that some sections are muddy in winter.

For motorhome owners, it is possible to park overnight in the car park of the leisure centre.

(17) Alternative route: cross the bridge and take the road to Brunémont on the right to rejoin the outward route towards the Aubigny leisure centre.
