Start from a small car park (Les Hautes Fontaines), above the hamlet of Saint-Romary.
(S/E) Head towards Route Forestière Jean Picard - La Mousse (blue triangle) for a long but easy climb. When you reach a hairpin bend, continue straight ahead (blue triangle).
(1) At the crossroads, follow Chemin Jean Picard (blue triangle) on the right to reach the Fontaines des Charbonniers. Then continue along the path for about 20 minutes.
(2) In the middle of a straight stretch between two left-hand bends, take care to take a small path that climbs to the right (blue triangle) and in 5 minutes you will reach Carrefour de la Boulée.
(3) Take the path on the right (blue triangle) towards Fardeau de Saint-Christophe - Roches du Thin - La Mousse.
(4) Ten minutes later, at the crossroads of several paths, continue straight ahead. At point 779m, turn left (blue triangle). Picnic table. Walk for a good quarter of an hour to reach a right-hand bend at the junction of two small paths that branch off to the left (no signposting).
(5) The small path at the top leads to a small clearing with a marker in the centre (753m). Continue straight ahead to reach the Roches du Thin (viewpoint).
Be careful, as you will need to climb over two rocks.
(6) Return to the bend in the track.
(5) Take the path on the left (blue triangle) to reach a crossroads in less than 10 minutes.
(7) Take the path on the right. This is the path towards Sainte-Sabine - Saint-Etienne - red triangle - blue easel - yellow diamond andGR® 5F.
Less than 5 minutes later, continue straight ahead on the uphill path - red triangle - blue easel - yellow diamond andGR® 5F.
Ten minutes later, at a fork, take the left path - red triangle - blue easel - yellow diamond andGR® 5F, which leads to the Sainte-Sabine Chapel.
(8) Five minutes later, leave behind the path that leads to La Charme - Cleurie - Saint-Amé, and you will arrive at the Sainte-Sabine Chapel in less than two minutes.
(9) At the chapel, take the uphill path (red triangle - yellow ring) towards the Sainte-Sabine Cross. Continue straight ahead on the path (red triangle - yellow ring) to reach the cross (780m).
(10) At the cross, take the path on the left (red triangle - yellow ring) that leads to Épinette - Saint-Étienne.
(11) At Faing des Grèves, continue straight ahead on the path (red triangle - yellow ring) towards Saint-Étienne - Cleurie. Then continue left on the path (red triangle - yellow ring) and then right, following the same markings.
(12) After 150 metres, leave the road and take a small path on the right (red triangle - yellow ring).
Descend for 400 metres, pass close to a road and continue downhill for about 400 metres to reach the bottom.
Turn right to return to the starting point (S/E).
