To reach the start of the route, take the D35 and, at the GDF station, turn into Chemin du Plain du Saut 50 metres further on (there is a place to park, but take care not to block the exit).
(S/E) Take the road on the right, heading due south, which leads to a farm. Cross the farm. Walk a few more metres and take the road on the left, signposted “Chalet de la Charmotte 0h45mn”. Follow the Red Ring markings to a new crossroads.
(1) Turn left onto the small road, which quickly becomes a steep path leading to the Chalet de la Charmotte. At the T-junction, take the right-hand branch which climbs into the forest. Reach the Chalet de la Charmotte.
(2) Take the path marked with the Green Ring towards the Chalet des Haneaux. At the following junctions, follow the Green markings to reach Place Georges Grisvars. Continue on to reach La Roche Jaugeon before arriving at the Chalet des Haneaux.
(3) Stay on the Green Ring marked trail at all times. Arrive at the Biological Reserve and then at the junction of the Abri Forestier de la Vrille.
(4) Leave the track and turn left towards Le Fays and La Saye via the Red Disc marked trail (signposted “Chalet de l’Avuxon 1h”). Head for the Avuxon forest shelter.
(5) Continue until you reach a junction with a path that winds off to the right.
(6) Begin a short descent, staying on the Red Disc trail, to reach the Orientation Table.
(7) Head towards Les Cucherons (signpost). Continue along a road, pass a small car park and turn right. Reach the La Croix des Cucherons crossroads.
(8) At the sign for “Chalet de la Roulotte 25min”, take the path marked with the Yellow Cross on the left. Head towards Les Cucherons.
(9) Head towards Chalet de la Roulotte and, heading due south, reach the chalet.
(10) Continue south, following the Red Ring markings. Stay on this track, cross the hamlet of Sevrichamp and then head for Les Faigneux and the car park at the start (S/E).
