Description of the walk

Markings: Ground markings on this walking trail

The Spessart Trail starts at the end of Stubbachweg and from here runs through open countryside around the western hills of Ulmbach. It first heads north with views towards the Vogelsberg and then westwards along the ‘Stubbach bei Ulmbach’ nature reserve.

The trail then takes walkers westwards, with views to the south over the Kinzig Valley and the Spessart. High above Ulmbach, within sight of the Galgenberg (421.3 metres), a seating area by the elevated water tank invites you to take a break before heading back down to the starting point.
