From the starting point in Steinau, the route initially leads through open countryside, partly lined with trees. The path offers views towards Bellings; the surrounding area is home to several nature reserves, including the striking Bellinger Berg with its dense mixed deciduous forest and species-rich flora. Also nearby is the vineyard, on whose slopes traces of former agricultural use are still visible in the field boundaries running parallel to the slopes. To the south of the Bellinger Warte, in the forest, lie the Neudorfwiesen near Steinau, an area of great importance for species and habitat conservation, featuring mountain meadows with varying levels of moisture and dry areas.
As the route continues, it alternates several times between open countryside and woodland. After a stretch through the woods, the route returns to more open terrain with meadows and fields before leading to Seidenroth. From there, the route curves westwards around the ‘Langer Berg’ through dense woodland. The final section, flanked by meadows and fields, leads back to Steinau along a farm track.
