Sotta walks
The Bitalza Sheepfolds at the start of the Col de Colombanu
This fairly challenging but well-shaded walk offers magnificent views of the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio and the Sotta Valley. The sheepfolds at Bitalza are well worth a visit.
Tour of the Prisarella peninsula
Along the park path, a circular path joins the small beach of Prisarella and runs along the southern side of the pond.
A short half-hour walk that is almost entirely flat.
Caroni Route
A magnificent walk by the sea or in the countryside. Accessible from a car park at the edge of the trail, this route offers several points of interest such as beaches, rock formations and natural shelters, perfect for a walk with family or friends. This walk, with a moderate elevation gain, offers beautiful Corsican landscapes without any particular technical difficulty.
Punta di Rondinara
A short walk of less than an hour on the Rundinara peninsula.
A family walk with a short 5-minute climb. First, take a short detour to the small beach, located south of the bay, then take the path that leads to the south coast of Rondinara Bay, with beautiful orange-red rocks standing out against the blue of the sea. Once at the top (53 m), you have a view of the entire Corsican coastline as far as neighbouring Sardinia.
The Punta di a Vacca Morta loop
The 360° views from the summit over the bay of Porto-Vecchio, the Ospedale dam and the Alta Rocca are well worth the final climb, which is short but quite tough.
The loop starts near the Cartalavonu lodge, Le Refuge.
The ruins of the abandoned village of Pruna from the Piccovaggia road
A short walk to the abandoned village of Pruna. The highlight is undoubtedly the 180° view of the mouth of the Gulf of Porto Vecchio and the tip of San Ciprianu, just opposite.
Castellu d'Arraggio
A short climb to a megalithic site in very good condition. For lovers of prehistoric remains, with the added bonus of a superb view of the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio.
From Étang de Ventilegne to Pisciu Cane and back
A superb hike in the Bouches de Bonifacio Natural Park.
A refreshing walk along the coastline with a detour into the Étang de la Testarella wetland. It feels like walking through a landscaped garden filled with flowers in spring. A pleasant walk in any season. The return route offers a different viewpoint, preventing monotony.
Three and a half hours including stops for this walk, which is one of our favourites.
Once again, there is a wide choice of beaches and rocks. Can be combined with the Punta di Ventilegne circular.
The Uomo di Cagna
This is a round-trip hike that leads to a summit at an altitude of 1,217 metres. At the end of the climb, rising up from a jumble of black granite, stands the Uomo di Cagna, a balancing rock formation. The summit plateau offers a beautiful view of the southern coastline.
Punta di Ventilegne circular route
A very beautiful circular route through the Figari countryside, allowing you to visit the abandoned hamlet of A Testa, stroll through peaceful marshes and sneak from beach to beach along the rugged coastline. This is the habitat of Herman's turtles, which in springtime resembles a flower garden overrun with wind-sculpted topiaries.
Beautiful, easy trails, accessible to mountain bikes.
The Piscia di Gallu waterfall
In French, cascade du pin, this is one of the seven wonders of the Alta Rocca. It's a truly beautiful 70-metre waterfall.
The Bruzzi trail
The Bouches de Bonifacio nature reserve.
Punta d'Arasu from San Ciprianu
Walk along San Ciprianu Beach with the climb up to Punta d'Arasu.
This walk takes you along the beach side of the lagoon called the lido to Punta d'Arasu, returning via the marshes.
Walk and then swim in the Osu
Come and discover a swimming spot in the Osu river after an hour's walk.
You can jump off the rock into a natural pool two to three metres deep.
Loop from the Hermitage of the Trinity to Capo di Feno
A beautiful circular walk, mostly along the coast, offering magnificent views of the cliffs of Bonifacio on the way there and back over the Gulf of Ventilegne. This is particularly recommended on windy days when the waves break on the rocky chaos of Cap de Feno with Sardinia in the background.
The hike starts at the Hermitage of the Trinity, a place to visit for contemplation with a Way of the Cross on mercy. Plan to go swimming in the wild coves.
