(S/E) Park in the car park of the San Ciprianu shopping centre.
Walk along the beach on the left until you reach the Arasu nature reserve
(1) From this information panel, continue to the end of the beach where you will find a footbridge.
(2) The footbridge crosses a small stream or channel connecting the sea to the ponds. This brings you to the Punta d'Arasu trail, marked and maintained by the Conservatoire du littoral.
Follow the coastline for a few hundred metres before beginning the winding climb to the summit.
(3) The summit offers a 360° view of the bay, the mountains and the Cerbicales Islands.
Begin the descent to the marsh where low walls indicate the fork in the path.
(4) Turn left and return to the footbridge.
- After crossing the stream, turn right onto the path and follow the stream for about 100 metres.
- Then turn left to cross the sandy area until you reach the wooden fence.
(5) At the end, turn right onto the track that leads to the ponds.
After crossing them via the small dyke, turn left and follow the path leading to the edge of the site.
(6) Turn left onto the track that leads back to the ponds, cross them again to reach the large dirt car park.
From there, you can return to San Ciprianu via the coast or along a path running alongside the marsh if you prefer to avoid the crowds on the beach (S/E)
