Head towards Monacia d'Aullène on the RT40 (formerly the RN196). The trail starts from the main street (the only one) in the hamlet of Giannuccio, where you should park as soon as possible, as there is no other parking available further into the village, which is a dead end.
(S/E) Follow the main road uphill. Turn right at the first crossroads (signposted "L'Uomo di Cagna").
(1) The path is then accessible by turning left at the hairpin bend. Follow the stone wall and continue along the path uphill.
(2) At an intersection, turn right and follow the direction indicated by a sign fixed to a tree.
From this point, follow the yellow markings along the entire route. The path enters the woods and goes around the summit at 887 m to the south. Continue climbing in a north-easterly direction, through increasingly open terrain.
(3) For the final part of the climb, the route passes through a chaotic rock formation and it is often necessary to use your hands to help you. Follow this tricky path to the summit of Uomo di Cagna.
(4) The return journey follows exactly the same path as the outward journey, taking you back to the starting point (S/E).
