Caroni Route

Park in the Rondinara car park: parking available on site, close to the trailhead.

(S/E) Follow the main trail, which heads southwest and gradually climbs to the sandy hill, a sacred resting place for cattle.

(1) Continue along the clearly visible path, which turns into a ledge and joins another path at a hairpin bend.

(2) Turn left and join the coastal path.

(3) Head right and join the small natural shelter.

(4) Continue to the ant monoliths, staying on the main path.

(5) Retrace your steps and follow the path on the right down to the coast to the small beach with the Farfadet à Trois Doigts cave.

(6) Turn back.

(3) Continue straight along the coast.

(7) Turn right off the main path to reach Plage du Seigneur. Turn around to return to the coastal path.

(7) Resume the route on the right.

(8) Turn left to return to the Rondinara car park (S/E).

Partially marked, follow the description and GPS track carefully.

Recommended period: all year round, preferably in spring and autumn.

Natural trails, sandy and rocky passages.

Walking shoes recommended (terrain sometimes uneven).

Please note: some sections near the coast can be slippery in wet weather. The route has little shade, so bring water and sun protection and avoid walking in the heat of the day in summer.

Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a leash.

Hike suitable for children who are used to walking.

(8) The bunker, visible from afar from the beach, is a discreet historical relic integrated into the landscape.

(6) A small cave, accessible during the walk, is interesting to see.

(4) A natural shelter, ideal for a break in the shade.

Two uncrowded beaches, perfect for relaxing and observing the coastline.

Cattle on the route, reminding us of the pastoral nature of the site.
