Description of the walk

Head to the Les Vignerons de Saint-Marc-Canteperdrix cooperative winery in Mazan.
Parking options: in the winery car park (check opening days and times!) or at La Boiserie right next door.

(S/E) The route starts from the cooperative winery. With your back to the cooperative, take Chemin de Modène on the right. Follow it to a junction.

(1) Turn right onto a path that descends gently between the vineyard plots. Please note: at the end of this path, you will need to cross the Route de Saint-Pierre de Vassols, which is very busy. Continue straight on until the next junction.

(2) Keep left onto Chemin de Largonteau until the next Fork in the road.

(3) Keep right, pass a pretty restored cottage and reach the end of the path.

(4) Turn right onto Chemin du Traversier and continue straight on at the next junction to reach a Fork in the road with a small path.

(5) Turn right onto this path, at the foot of the signpost. Turn right as you leave the path to reach a Fork in the road.

(6) Turn left onto Chemin de la Genestière and continue straight on until you reach the Notre-Dame de la Brune Chapel.

(7) Take a moment to have a short break at the chapel, then join the path of the same name, to the left of the chapel, and follow it to the junction with the Chemin de Saint-Joseph (first on the right, with a cross). On either side of the path, you’ll see plots of asparagus, our region’s flagship produce.

(8) At the junction, continue to the right along this path, then turn left onto the Chemin du Mercadier.
Watch out for traffic on the Route de Saint-Pierre de Vassols, which you will need to cross again. Continue to the next junction, at a place called Sainte-Anne.

(9) Turn right to reach the Les Vignerons de Saint-Marc-Canteperdrix wine cooperative (S/E).

A very pleasant and easy walk. The proximity of snow-capped Mont Ventoux adds an extra touch of charm. Highly recommended for a family outing.

A lovely, well-signposted walk through the heart of the vineyards – best avoided on very hot days.
Best enjoyed in the autumn when the vines have changed colour.

A very easy walk suitable for families with children, even very young ones. It can also be done by bike as the route is very accessible. One slight downside, though: only half the route runs through the vineyards. The rest follows small country lanes on the outskirts of the village. A special mention for the breathtaking view of Mont Ventoux amidst the vineyards. Absolutely stunning! I recommend popping into the village centre after the walk to have a drink and visit the church and the little streets around it. Very pretty.

A very easy and pleasant walk. No difficulty at all.
The chapel was open because of the presence of scouts. Thanks to the members of the local community association who opened it and told us its history.
