Parking available in the south car park of the Trois-Épis convalescent and rest home.
(S/E) When leaving the car park, turn right and follow the yellow ring markings. Continue along this quiet street, then turn slightly left onto a path that runs parallel to it. You will come to a crossroads (Main de Fer).
(1) Turn right, then left a few dozen metres further on to reach the memorial to Félix Spitz, former President of the Club Vosgien de Colmar.
(2) Continue straight ahead, heading east, following the yellow ring markings.
(3) Turn left at the signpost, cross another path and continue straight ahead to reach another crossroads.
(4) Turn left towards the Galtz monument, which has been visible for several minutes. At the top of the mountain, turn right and head towards the monument.
(5) After visiting the Galtz monument and possibly climbing to the top of its pedestal, retrace your steps and take the descent opposite. Turn right at the first fork and begin a series of hairpin bends before reaching the stele you passed on the way up.
(2) Turn right towards Main de Fer.
(1) Follow the path on the right, called Sentier de Castelnau and marked with a yellow ring. This crosses a forest track and continues opposite, ending up alongside the MGEN medical centre and leading to Rue du Chanoine Albert Salzmann. Turn left, continue around the medical centre, then turn left to cross the street and head towards the beautiful panorama next to the starting car park (S/E).
