A wild adventure in the heart of Martinique, climbing Morne Chapeau Nègre, located below the famous Piton Lacroix, from Morne Covin.This route is for truly experienced hikers seeking adventure and wilderness , with numerous spiders, snakes and ants present.The trail, often overgrown with dense vegetation, requiresthe use of a machete to clear passages where regrowth is rapid. A walk best enjoyed in dry weather if possible. A picnic area with plenty of huts where families and children gather. The stream will provide a refreshing dip if needed.

A hike along a very easy path, following an old irrigation canal. It allows you to discover the lush tropical vegetation and offers beautiful views of the Pitons du Carbet massif. The elevation gain shown is greatly overestimated: it is only a few dozen metres at most. (Please note): access has been reported as prohibited since March 2022, to be confirmed in November 2022. A beautiful circular hike through vegetation typical of Martinique, with splendid tropical flowers. Weather permitting, at the summit you will have a beautiful panorama of the Carbet ridges and a view of Mount Pelée. Allow between 4 and 5 hours to complete this hike.

For a breathtaking view of the Diamant rock, anchored off Pointe du Diamant, and the entire east coast of southern Martinique.

Mount Pelée is rarely free of clouds, but that's no problem. The hike I suggest takes you up to the Caldera, where you can enjoy views of Saint-Pierre and Le Prêcheur. The well-maintained path is relatively easy despite the steep slope and rocky sections, and steps make the going easier.

Take a walk in the cool Montravail Rainforest, located in the hot and dry south of Martinique, which offers a unique atmosphere. The suggested route is dotted with picnic and rest areas, allowing you to explore the forest and the streams that run through it. The various trails, including the one suggested here, are dotted with monumental wooden sculptures that can be discovered along the forest road.

On the Caravelle Peninsula, this short route will allow you to discover the mangrove, a very special environment where the forest extends over the sea.

This hike takes you through a variety of landscapes, allowing you to discover the Caravelle Peninsula Nature Reserve and its endemic flora and fauna. In just a few dozen metres, you will go from the Atlantic coast, battered by the waves, to the calm of the mangroves.

Short hike along Vauclin Bay and Cul-de-Sac de Petite Grenade.

A very short climb to a small summit, which offers a superb 360° panorama with the sea on almost all sides.

A lovely walk that alternates between beach, mangrove and hills. The walk can be done clockwise (with an uphill section in the second half) or anti-clockwise. Please note, however: during the rainy season, the mangrove section (approximately 150 m after the viewpoint (4) is impassable when walking clockwise!
