Park at Place Nelson Mandela, near the glass recycling bins.
(S/E) Go up the road towards the peaks. After the right-hand bend, take the path that goes up to the left through the Creole gardens. When you reach the edge, follow it for a few dozen metres, going up to the right to find the path that goes down to the left into the forest and up to a grassy plateau: beautiful views of the Carbets peaks. Continue along the path through the undergrowth to a stream and follow it up to the waterfall (slippery sections).
(1) Descend the stream to the path that climbs up to the right (follow the pipe). The path descends to the Picart River and its pumping station.
(2) Walk up the river for a few dozen metres to ford it and continue up a wide path. At the top, a clearing offers a magnificent view of the Caribbean coast. Continue to the water treatment plant.
(3) Go around the treatment plant on the left and go up the path on the right. Turn left onto the road in the village of Urion. Go down this road for 500 metres, then take the road that goes down to the left, crosses the Picart River and goes up towards Montjoly.
Follow the road to the left to return to Place Nelson Mandela (S/E).
