Departure from the car park at the entrance to Sautron, coming from Treillières via the D26, which you take at the top of the Côte de la Ménardais.
(S/E) At the end of the car park, turn right towards the Cens valley. Walk to the Cens and take the path on the left that runs alongside it.
(1) Cross a stream on the right and climb a small hill. Continue along this path. Turn left, following the signs. You will arrive at a place called Le Magasin. At the roundabout, turn left onto Rue des Accacias, then right onto Rue des Ormeaux (yellow signs). Turn right at the cul-de-sac. When you reach the road, turn right onto Chemin des Goulets on the right.
(2) At the Les Goulets sign, take the path on the right (GR®3, red and white signposts). Follow theGR®3until you cross the Cens. Cross the Cens on the two bridges and, at the end of the second bridge, turn right and climb up the narrow and often very wet gully. Pass by the Barbotière farm and continue on theGR®3. When you reach a road, turn left. Cross the village of La Guillaudière.
(3) At the village of Defay, leave theGR®3on your right and turn left towards La Roulière (dead end). Turn right onto the communal path (white and green signs). Continue along this path until you reach a fork and turn right. You will soon come to a road. Turn right towards La Chézinière and continue along this road.
(4) Turn left onto the road before a large pond. Pass in front of the houses and continue along a farm track. At the end of this track, turn right onto another farm track. Continue straight ahead on this track until you reach the stop sign.
(5) Turn left onto the D26 road (caution: walk in single file). After 200 to 250 metres, take the path on the right (you are now back on theGR®3). At the end of the path, take the path on the right.
(6) Leave theGR®3on your left and continue straight ahead. Pass the telecommunications pylon and take the road furthest to the right towards La Grée.
(7) Then turn left onto the Thomasière cul-de-sac. At the houses, take the path on the right. Continue along this path (often very muddy when it rains). Cross the Cens and take the path that branches off to the right (yellow signposts). When you reach the village, turn right and follow the yellow signposts. Then turn left, following the yellow and blue signposts, and continue along this path.
(8) Cross the Cens again, following the yellow signs. Cross a road and continue along the Cens, following the yellow signs.
(9) At the large pond at Moulin l'Évêque, cross the Cens again on the right over a pretty little stone bridge and continue along the path.
(10) At Rue de la Vallée, turn left then right to reach the car park (S/E).
