Park in the town hall car park in Saint-Sulpice-la-Forêt.
(S/E) Follow the small path that runs alongside the town hall car park and the cemetery, then turn right onto the D97.
Continue straight ahead, cross the bridge over the Fresnay stream, then turn right at the small sign for "La Chesnais" until you reach the next crossroads.
(1) Turn left, then right at the next junction. Head towards the forest and go to the forest gate.
(2) Go through it, turn right and follow the yellow hiking trail. You will first walk along the edge of the forest, then go a little deeper into it. Cut across the Route Forestière de l'Étang to reach the Étang des Maffrais past.
(3) Cross the D528. Turn right and continue to follow the yellow markings. You are now on the ecological trail, with information panels explaining how the forest works.
(4) Turn right when you reach the Ligne Forestière de Saint-Sulpice. Continue straight ahead on a wide path at the edge of the forest to reach Saint-Sulpice-la-Forêt.
(5) Turn right onto Route de Saint-Denis, then left onto Rue de la Grange. Immediately turn right towards the town hall.
(5) Continue left along the path to the starting point (S/E).
. The path may be more passable outside of summer... In any case, remember to take the path on the left when you are in the town hall car park!
