Mialet (Audibert) - Alès
Thirteenth and final stage of a complete journey on the Chemin de Stevenson between Le Puy-en-Velay and Alès. This stage may involve significant changes to the GR®70 signposting, as Stevenson actually stopped at Saint-Jean-du-Gard on his journey. This last stage therefore allows you to return to a town where there are more means of communication to the starting point of the journey, while discovering the last foothills of the Cévennes.

A circular route following beautiful old paths once used to connect Saint-André to other villages and the Corniche des Cévennes. Beautiful views of the Borgne Valley, with a visit to the village of Saint-André at the end of the route.
Col des Laupies circular starting from Plan de Fontmort
This hike is accessible to everyone, young and old, in the Plan de Fontmort massif.
Part of the circular route is along the ridges with a view of Mont Aigoual, then descends to the refreshing Mimente before climbing back up the Chemin de Stevenson to Plan de Formont.
Between oak groves and cool water in Mialet
A varied walk consisting of a challenging climb to discover the heights of Mialet and a more leisurely walk along the Gardon de Mialet.
Along the way, you will discover hilltop hamlets, a temple, a dolmen and the famous Pont des Camisards bridge.

Loop starting from the car park at the spinning mill in Lasalle towards Sainte-Croix-de-Caldere and its magnificent chapel via the Col de l'Oursine. Return via Calviac and Saint-Bonnet-de-Salendrinque. Mainly in the woods, but you will still have plenty of magnificent views. Places to visit: Le Sollier and Le Castellas castles, the chapel of Sainte-Croix-de-Caldere, the Menhir à la Borie, the Salendrinque river and the spinning mills of Lasalle.

A short, fairly easy circular route that takes you up to the heights of the village via a pretty path through heathland covered with broom, heather and ferns, then gently back down through a forest of pine, oak and chestnut trees. Some beautiful viewpoints.

The Cabriès valley
A walk to discover the hilltop hamlets of Saint-Sébastien-d'Aigrefeuille.
The upper Amous valley
The first part of this hike takes you to the site of the old Carnoulès mines. The route then takes you up the slopes of the Amous valley and back along the river. The Amous, from its source to La Fabrègue, is superb: its crystal-clear waters wind through a wild valley, then its bed makes its way through more fertile land.
The Col des Fosses and La Rouvrière at the start of Colognac
Located at an altitude of 600 m, in the foothills of the Cévennes, Colognac is a typical Cévennes village. The lush vegetation of the meadows, chestnut and oak trees contrasts with the arid heath. You are in the mountains. From the Col des Fosses (900 m), the views stretch north over the Borgne valley to the Barre des Cévennes, and south-west over the Viganais and beyond. At the start, the Mouleyrette mill is a little gem.
Col de l'Homme Mort from Mas Gibert
Circular route on the northern slope of the Hérault valley allowing you to climb to the crest of the Aigoual massif, which offers superb views of the Cévennes.
Le Mas de l'Église and Le Mas Gibert d'Ardaillers
A short hike to discover two typical hamlets, consisting almost exclusively of old houses, on the southern slope of the Aigoual.

Les Capélans and la Grande Pallières
A long loop to climb to the summit of Capélans, which offers a fine view of the surrounding area, then to discover the dolmens on the Grande Pallières ridge and the Panissière dolmen further down. Return via the quiet districts of Anduze.
The Rocher Saint-Julien
A short route to discover Anduze and climb to the top of the rock overlooking the town.
Large circular loop around the Luech
This is a challenging circular route with an elevation gain of over 1,000 metres, starting from Chamborigaud and climbing up to the Route des Crêtes, with superb views of the surrounding mountains, including the ruins of the old castle of Verfeuil, from the south of Mont Lozère to Mont Ventoux. There are various places between the points (7) and (15) that also offer beautiful views. From Vialas to Chamborigaud, you will come across numerous streams that flow into the Luech, which you will follow, with a superb spot that is ideal for a break or a swim, even if there are still 6 km to go to reach the starting point, with a steep hill to leave the Luech. But overall, it is a very beautiful route for lovers of good, challenging hikes.
In the vineyards of Massillargues-Attuech
Between vineyards and olive groves, a few beautiful farmhouses and villages. Different landscape on the banks of the Gardon, with meadows. All that remains of the château are the walls and a view. A passage also high up on the heath.
The old mine shaft at La Vernarède
La Vernarède is a small mining village between Portes and Chamborigaud. It's a lovely, easy walk with plenty of water points for our furry friends to drink from, at least in spring (in summer this may not be the case).
The trail stretches under the pine trees and a few chestnut trees and runs alongside the Broussous stream. Numerous flowers dot the water sources, such as magnificent columbines and daisies.
Le Villaret from Peyregrosse
Starting from Peyregrosse, a round trip along the Hérault river followed by a circular route passing through the hamlet of Villaret and the Jardin des Sambucs, a remarkable garden (see opening times).
Circular walk from Saint-André-de-Majencoules via the Chemin des Baigneurs
Starting from Peyregrosse, on the banks of the Hérault, the hike takes a beautiful path, once used by young villagers to go swimming in the river, up to the village of Saint-André-de-Majencoules. It continues with a circular route that allows you to visit the village and its surroundings.
Camias and La Rouvierette loop from Les Quatre Chemins
These paths lead to terraces that were once cultivated and offer views of the surrounding hamlets. Most of this hike is in the shade of holm oaks and chestnut trees. You'll feel like you've stepped back in time in these typical Cévennes landscapes.
