Arriving from Anduze on the D50, park in the first car park at the entrance to the village of Mialet.
(S/E) Go up a narrow street in the village. Turn right onto the narrow Rue Bertrand Durand, which quickly becomes a paved slanting street.
(1) At the intersection, climb up the rocks on the right. A very stony path climbs steeply for about 1 km, then continues along a ledge with a beautiful view, on a gentle slope. You will reach a basin.
(2) Enter a chestnut grove and follow the path towards Mas Pages.
(3) Go around Mas Pages on the left, near several yurts. Then continue on a track suitable for vehicles until you reach the pass where you join theGR®44.
(4) Climb up to the right to reach the highest point of the circuit. Then follow the path under the oak trees. After a steep descent on a stony path, you will reach a clearing.
(5) Take the path on the right from the clearing, leaving theGR®44here. You will soon reach a forest track; keep to the right to reach the hamlet of La Rouvière.
(6) Ignore the path on the right and continue straight ahead, despite the yellow cross, on a wide, tree-lined path. You will come out onto the D450, Route des Puechs. Turn right onto this road.
(7) Turn right onto the yellow-marked trail.
(8) Turn left following the signs, then continue along the path and look for a dolmen on a rocky mound to the left of the path. You will soon reach the D450 opposite a car park.
(9) Continue right on the slightly downhill paved road until you reach a track at elevation 406.
(10) Take this track on the left and continue downhill through the woods to reach Mas de la Baumelle.
(11) Pass between two buildings and follow the stream towards Mas Soubeyran. At the old mine, turn 90° to the right to reach the Musée du Désert in Mas Soubeyran.
(12) Keep to the right, following the red and whiteGR®61and 67 markings, until you reach the Route des Grottes. At the three-way junction, turn left onto Chemin Andissorgues, which is marked "sans issue" (dead end), and at the 90° bend, take the path on the right.
(13) Take this path, which is still theGR®, and continue to the hamlet of Trabuc.
(14) Cross the D50 to join a very pleasant path along the Gardon river, which returns to Mialet and ends opposite the car park where you started (S/E).
