There are two car parks on Route de La Malepère.
(S/E) From there, head east on Route de la Malepère and descend 250 metres to the junction with Route de Carcassonne (signposted). Turn left onto Route de Carcassonne (D36). On the left, you will see the old public weighbridge.
(1) After 170 metres, turn right onto Chemin de Baudrigue. Follow this road for 850 metres. It is tarmac at the start and becomes a farm track at the end of the housing estate. Pass under the high-voltage power line and continue straight ahead for 120 metres.
(2) Turn right for 20 metres and then left again. After 240 metres, turn right.
(3) After 270 metres, turn left to cross the ford over the Ruisseau de la Caune, which is often dry. After 100 metres, you will come to a field. Walk along the right-hand side for 70 metres. Take the second path on the right and make a half circular route to reach Baudrigue, a ghost property that once housed a training centre. After the building, which was destroyed by fire, turn immediately left and then right to join the D211.
(4) Cross this road and continue straight ahead for 650 metres to reach the edge of Lac de la Taure. Turn left and walk along the lake shore for about 750 metres.
(5) Ignore the path that branches off to the right and continue straight ahead on Chemin de Fourmigous. After 500 m, at the Rosalbert estate, turn left to rejoin the D211.
(6) Cross the D211 and climb the embankment opposite to continue along the path. Follow the hedges bordering the stream on the right for about 100 metres. Continue on the right, between the Malric stream on the left and a large vineyard on the right for 150 metres.
(7) Turn left, cross the bridge over the Malric, then cross the road to take the slightly uphill path opposite. You will reach Chemin de la Ville (tarmac road) 150 metres further on. Turn right onto this path and continue for 140 metres.
(8) Turn left onto the grassy path that runs alongside a property with numerous farmyard animals. After 650m along this path, which forms a green tunnel, you will reach the path you took at the start of the walk. Turn right and continue for 650m to reach the Route de Carcassonne.
(1) Continue left for 450 metres along the same path to return to the car park where you started (S/E).
