The walk starts from the car park in the centre of the village at the junction of Grand Rue and Avenue des Platanes.
(S/E) Cross the square and walk about 60 metres along Grand Rue. Turn right into Rue Guillaume Fabre, then left into Rue de la Liberté and continue straight ahead onto Boulevard du Foyer. Leave the boulevard and turn right onto Chemin des Festes. After 700 metres, the path takes a circular route to the right then back to the left. Continue along Chemin des Festes for another 600 metres.
(1) At the power line, leave this path and take the path on the right that branches off sharply. After 650 metres, you will arrive at the Fabary estate. Continue straight ahead on the path that curves to the right.
(2) When the path begins to descend, the view is very beautiful. Continue for 550 metres.
(3) Leave the Fabary estate path and take the farm track on the right for about 600 metres.
(4) On the left side of the path, a wooden post marked in yellow indicates to turn left. Leave the path and walk alongside the vineyard. Follow the Pré stream on the left to reach a footbridge that crosses the stream.
(5) You are now at the Canal du Midi. Turn right and walk along the canal for about 900 metres to reach the Villesèques lock.
(6) At the lock, stay on the edge of the canal and do not take the farm track that branches off to the right. After 650m, the path leads to the outskirts of Sauzens near the D33.
(7) Turn right onto the tarmac road (D248). Be careful of the few vehicles that use this road. Continue for about 1200m to return to the starting point (S/E).
