(S) We started from the Croix Rondo, located at the end of the village of Dornot. There is limited parking in this area. If necessary, park your vehicle in the village. A Visorandonneur told me to continue past the Croix Rondo (towards the left) and there is a green area less than 100 metres away where you can park easily.
(1) Follow the signs for Novéant sur Moselle 2.6 km. The path leads to vineyards and passes a stone memorial (1) commemorating the Battle of Dornot-Corny in September 1944 and the historical route. Turn right and continue along the road to Novéant-sur-Moselle. Follow Rue Macrelle, which runs alongside isolated villas, until you reach the village. Once in the village, turn right onto the main street (Rue André Bellard) and then Rue de la Chauvée. Turn right when you reach the cemetery.
(2) At the signpost, continue straight ahead for 1,400 metres to reach a viewpoint over the Gorzia valley (3). A small stone-covered fountain can be seen 700 metres after the signpost.
(3) After 1,400 metres, follow the signs for "la croix St Clément 2.7 km".
(4) 800m further on, take the small path that climbs up to the right into the forest, then quickly turn left (this path is not well marked at the end as it is rarely used) to join the Chemin du Rocher de la Fraze. After 250m, you will come to the path that you will take on the left (5).
(6) 200 m further on, take the small path on the right to reach the foot of the rocks. You can continue straight ahead to reach the summit of the Rochers de la Fraze. The lower path joins the upper path after about 1,400 metres. On this lower section, you will see caves (or cracks in the rock) that penetrate the yellow limestone. After joining the upper path, turn right for 100 metres and then left (off the marked path) (7).
You will pass close to what appear to be ancient trenches dating from the 1914-1918 war.
The path continues straight ahead until you reach the road (D6b), which you cross to immediately reach the Croix Saint Clément (8) in the meadow (in honour of the pope of the same name who, upon seeing Metz, knelt at this spot and left the imprints of his knees in the stone at the foot of the cross).
Retrace your steps, keeping to the left for 100 metres to return to the starting point (E).
