Park in the large car park below the post office in Laroque-des-Albères.
(S/E) From the car park, take Rue Arago opposite towards Saint-Félix Church, then, from the church, turn left onto Rue de l'Église, following the yellow markings. Leave the village and continue along the path opposite (yellow sign indicating the hiking trails) which runs alongside the stream.
Pass by a beautiful restored mill.
(1) At the basin, where you will find a map of the hiking trails, follow the irrigation canal towards "Pic Néoulous". At Mas Christi, you will come to another trail junction.
(2) Turn right and you will soon reach another crossroads.
(3) Ignore the left fork towards Pic Neoulous (return) and continue towards Col de l'Ouillat along the right-hand path. Continue in a southerly direction.
(4) Along the way, take a 10-metre detour to see the snow well (sign). Cross the river and reach a crossroads.
(5) Ignore the right-hand turn-off towards Col de l'Ouillat and take the Casot del Guardia. The path runs alongside the river to this dwelling.
(6) After the Casot, go back up the track. Follow it for 50 metres to the left, crossing the river. Immediately afterwards, leave the track and climb to the right towards "Roc Planer" and "Roc de Migdia". Follow this path northwards until you reach the shoulder. From there, the path heads south-east and the climb becomes increasingly steep.
(7) Join the track coming from Col de l'Ouillat, at the foot of Roc Planer, turn left (east). Follow this track for about 1.5km.
(8) At the crossroads, turn left (north-northwest) onto the path that descends towards Laroque-des-Albères.
Note: It is possible to make a round trip to Pic Neoulous, but allow for an extra 2 hours and an additional 300m of elevation gain.
At the next fork, continue towards Laroque and Balma del Moro.
(9) Take an interesting 50-metre detour to the dolmen indicated by a sign.
(10) Head straight ahead towards Laroque-des-Albères. Ignore the longer fork to the left (signposted Laroque 6km).
Join the track, take it to the right for 300m before leaving it to take the path that descends to the left towards "Laroque-des-Albères". Join the Mas d'en Soler crossroads.
(3) Turn right to continue the descent and return to the Mas Cristi junction.
(2) Leave the junction on the left towards "Laroque-des-Albères" and take the path opposite, marked yellow no. 1. Pass in front of Mas d'en Bordes and continue straight ahead. Follow the track, which makes an "S" to the left and leads back to the retention basin.
(1) From there, take the same path you followed on the way out to return to the car park (S/E).
