Description of the walk

Red and white markings for theGR®10andGR®107variant +GRP®

(S) From the Bésines refuge, descend via the previous day's route to the crossroads.

(1) Directional signpost. Turn left to descend slightly, then climb back up to the fork from the previous day.

(2) Directional signpost. Continue eastwards following the red and white markings. After a steep climb, you will reach the Coll de Coma d'Anyell pass. Some sections before the pass require the use of your hands.

(3) Directional signpost. Continue down into the valley and reach a fork past the old one.

(4) Turn right to descend more steeply towards Estany de Lanoset.
Beautiful view with the Estany du Lanós very low in water (observed on Sunday, 11 September 2002).

(5) Continue on the well-marked path and reach another fork.

(6) Directional signpost. Turn right, climbing slightly, and further on you will reach the Cabane du Rouzet below. Very clean and tidy hut (observed on Sunday, 11 September 2022).

(7) Leave theGR®7andGR®107Ctrails on your right, along the Étang du Lanoux lake.
Turn left, heading east on theGR®10and GRP®. The path climbs through the pasture towards Portella de la Grava.

(8) A very beautiful spot with a stunning view. This is a good place to take a break.
You can also make a return trip to Puig de la Grava (altitude 2671), heading due north.
Descend via theGR®10towards Estanoll (altitude 2297). Natural lagoon, streams, animals.

(9) TheGR®10turns south-east in Coume de la Grava, following the Rec (torrent) de la Grava, then the Têt to arrive at a large natural lagoon area. Reach a fork in the road.

(10) Stay on theGR®10. Do not turn right towards Estany del Reco (unless you are doing a return trip).

(11) At this point, the Rec de la Llosa (torrent de la lause) joins the Grava to form the Têt. Continue along the right bank. You will arrive at a beautiful lagoon area and reach a fork.

(12) Directional signs. Turn right heading south along Lac des Bouillouses on your left. This long, complicated and damaged path allows you to discover superb spots with small beaches. Gaps in the vegetation allow you to discover this beautiful artificial lake. Reach the restricted access road to Bones Hores.

(13) Turn left onto the dam. An information centre and toilets are available on the right at the bottom of the dam. At the end of the dam, turn right and head for the bus stops.

(E) End of the fourth stage and the journey.

A beautiful hike which, although a little long, especially towards the end and around Lac des Bouillouse, offers superb scenery and is not difficult

This hike is classified as moderate, which is true for most of the route, but not for the start. The section between Refuge d'en Beys and Coll d'Aniel, which is said to take an hour, took us two. Steep climbs, numerous snowfields (hike done on 11 June) and some difficulty in finding the route make this part of the hike difficult. The rest can be classified as moderate.
