Departure from L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre SNCF railway station
(S/E) Leave the car park and follow the railway line, crossing the N22 towards the village. Pass the stopover lodge and turn left towards the fountains at the foot of the massif. Join the GR®107 which climbs to the left, directly on the mountainside above the village.
(1) Take great care when crossing the N22 again. Leave the path (which joins the N22) on your right in the sharp left-hand bend and continue to a fork.
(2) Turn right towards Col de Puymorens, still on the GR®107. The path climbs steadily through a pine forest. Gradually leave the forest and join a track at a hairpin bend.
(3) Continue left, in the same direction, taking this track uphill. Continue straight ahead on this open track that runs along the side of the mountain, towards Col de Puymorens. Join a track suitable for vehicles.
(4) Follow it downhill to the right, pass an antenna, then come to a junction of three tracks suitable for vehicles.
(5) Take the track on the left that climbs up into the Coma d'en Garcia, heading north-east. The track climbs straight ahead before winding around a series of hairpin bends. Take the path that cuts across these bends, facing the slope. The path runs alongside a stream. You will come to a small cirque, which you must climb up until you reach the Portella de la Coma d'en Garcia. From there, descend slightly to the right until you reach the Portella de Cortal Rossó.
(6) Continue east on the path that climbs up the side of Cap de Llosada, towards the day's destination. Yellow markings and cairns help you along the way. Finish the climb with a steep slope leading to Puig de Coma d'Or. It is very dangerous to venture to the left on the ledge leading to the actual summit, which offers exactly the same view.
(7) Turn back until you return to Portella de Cortal Rossó.
From here, it is best to follow the GPX route, as the trail is quite difficult to follow and not very visible.
(6) Descend to the right down the slope on a barely visible path in the magnificent Jasse du Pedrós in the rocks, trying to follow the path as best you can. The path then gradually runs along the Rec de la Coma d'Or on its left bank before crossing it to reach the right bank.
(8) The path continues, passing under the Refuge Claude Tudon. Continue along the path between the trees. You will arrive in a fairly spongy area. Cross the stream at an old steel structure. Do not take the poorly marked path on the left that follows the stream, but climb slightly to find the GRP®.
(9) Take the well-marked path on the left. Join the junction of the GR®10 and another GRP®. Descend slightly to the left before climbing back up towards the Refuge des Bésines (overnight stay possible). Join the junction of the GR®10, GR®107 and GRP®.
(10) Continue downhill on the GR®107, heading west towards L'Hospitalet. The trail runs alongside the Étang des Bésines before gradually descending, then winding steeply downhill until you reach a fork you passed on the way up.
(2) Descend opposite, in the opposite direction to the outward journey, to return to L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre station (S/E).
