Coming from Bellecombe en Buages, park in the centre of Mont Devant.
(S/E) Continue on foot, following the road to the first bend.
(1) Take the path that branches off to the left. Climb up the path to the intersection with the Sanguinaire trail.
(2) Turn right and climb up the track to Le Reposoir.
(3) Turn right and cross the river (footbridge), then climb up the large sloping meadow. Reach a flat area. Turn left onto the path.
(4) Descend towards the stream and cross it. Climb diagonally up the vast meadow, leaving the markings that run along the edge of the woods, and join the path that connects Le Golet and the buildings of L'Écurie in front.
(5) Continue climbing to the left, walk alongside the buildings and continue climbing for a long time, then descend to a hairpin bend (route offset on the map).
(6) Go around the bend to the left and continue downhill.
(7) At Col de Bornette, continue straight ahead and pass the Noubloz chalets.
(8) Shortly afterwards, turn left. Descend the path to the Reposoir platform. Turn right and rejoin the ascent route.
(3) Follow the track.
(2) At the intersection, stay on the track for a gentler final descent. Continue until you reach the car park (S/E).
At the end, before returning to the rest area, you can climb up to the small promontory with a chalet from where you can see Lake Annecy.
Beautiful sunny day starting from the resting place. Lots of people. Short climb along the path. No snow at the start, only ice. Crampons were necessary. Climb through the meadow. Lots of ski tourers. Had to be very careful. Climbed up to the chalets for a snack. Nothing else to report.
