Park in the Marennes cemetery car park.
(S/E) When you exit, walk along the left side of the Chaponnay road (D150). Go straight across the roundabout towards Chaponnay and continue for about 100 metres.
(1) Just before the small bridge and the narrowing, take the dirt track on the right. Follow this track along the first valley, the Combe de Fausse. At the signpost for "Les Hauts de Fornion", take the track on the right towards "Le Coin". You will then come to a tarmac track, which you take on the right towards the water tower.
(2) Shortly afterwards, at the signpost for "le Coin", take the path on the right. Follow it to the next crossroads. First turn left then right and continue along the path heading south. You will reach the next intersection at the bottom of the valley.
(3) Turn right onto the path and walk up along Combe Charouin, following the yellow and red signs, keeping to the right. You will come out onto a paved road at Col de Bel-Air.
(4) Follow it to the right and, in the bend, turn right again onto Chemin des Platières.
(5) Further on, just after a signpost, you will find a path on the left. Follow this path and keep to the left. Cross the D150a and immediately afterwards, the road leading to Fontagnières, and take the path on the left (no entry sign).
Follow it, keeping to the left, then you will come to a tarmac road which you follow to the right. Pass a first tarmac road on your left at the sign for "Bonnetière, Chemin de la Faita" then a tarmac road on the left with a dead end sign.
(6) Immediately afterwards, take the road on the right at the signpost and keep to the right a hundred metres further on. When you reach a group of houses, follow the road on the right with a half-fallen no entry sign, along the third valley, Les Endiennes. Continue on Chemin de Fontaine Chatal to the SPA animal centre, which is always very noisy.
(7) Turn right onto the tarmac road going uphill. Continue along the path until the next intersection.
(8) Turn left twice, then after a short steep descent, continue straight ahead northwards, descending to the next crossroads, after a field.
(9) Turn right and follow this path. After a landslide, take the path on the left and keep to the left in the last valley, the Combe de Noyon. You will arrive at a crossroads near a house.
(10) Take the path on the right going uphill, then, at the next junction, take the path on the left. Continue straight ahead along a wood, cross an asphalt road, then walk alongside a house and take the path on the left towards the mandatory direction sign.
(11) Then turn left and follow the path to a tarmac road. Follow it downhill.
(12) At the junction with a fire hydrant, turn left towards the Chêne housing estate, then take the first street on the right. Continue along the path that leads back to the road from Chaponnay to Marennes.
Turn left and head to the cemetery car park (S/E).
