Description of the walk

Park in the car park at the Jardins d'Eau Pierre Doubeau.

(S/E) Enter the Water Gardens and walk around the site on the right-hand side.

(1) At the other end of the site, cross the Pont de Pierre bridge over one of the branches of the Loing and head towards a street. Turn right, then left (Rue de Courtenay; the castle behind the surrounding wall is not visible). At the junction, by a house with green shutters that looks like an old mill, turn left (Rue du Château) and you’ll reach Sainy-Loup Church. Take the path behind the church to go round it on the right, and go and see the Châtaignier Fountain before visiting the church.

(2) Then follow the main street, Rue d’Orléans, to the four-way junction and discover a beautiful covered wash house on the left.

(3) Retrace your steps to the first street on the right, Rue Basse, and follow it. Be careful not to miss the path on the right, shortly after leaving Rue du Paradis on your left, which leads back to the Pont de Pierre.

(1) Enter the Jardins d'Eau again and return to the car park (S/E) via the right-hand side.
