Other walks in the area
Pré Poncet - Pré d'Haut lodge
In the Jura forest, visit a lodge between Chaux Neuve, Chapelle des Bois and Foncine.
Chez l'Aimé at the start of La Chapelle des Bois
A very pleasant walk in the Chapelle des Bois plain, a mecca for Nordic skiing in the Jura.
⚠️ From 15/11 to 15/03: This hike crosses Nordic ski trails that are groomed in winter. Out of respect for skiers and the work of the ski patrollers, we kindly ask you not to walk on the trails.
Bois d’Amont towards Chalet Gaillard (near Roche Bernard)
A snowshoe hike, very well signposted. A well-trodden trail (at least due to the number of visitors). Mostly set in open countryside on the edge of the woods. A tasty refreshment stop awaits you on arrival, with a warm welcome for those who wish it. You can easily extend the walk to La Roche Bernard (1.6 km one way) and return via the same route.
Crêt de La Neuve
This Swiss hike was done on snowshoes but could easily be done on foot, especially in autumn or spring, to enjoy the beauty of nature.
The Col du Marchairuz connects the Vallée de Joux to Lake Geneva.
Mont Sala
Mont Sala offers remarkable views of Lake Geneva and the Alps, particularly its highest peak.Important note mentioned by a hiker: this route is located in an area regulated by the Federal District of Le Noirmont; in winter, only marked trails are authorised in order to preserve wildlife, so access to Crêt des Danses and summit 1515 is prohibited.
Dent de Vaulion
A superb snowshoe hike takes you to the summit of Dent de Vaulion with a 360° panoramic view of the Alps.
Good weather is really a must for this walk if you want to enjoy the exceptional view of the Alps in particular, not to mention the three lakes: Léman, Joux and Brenet.
The Belvédère des Dappes
A pleasant route through the Massif des Tuffes to explore the highest point of the Les Rousses alpine ski resort.
La Dôle via the Col de Porte
This route respects the work of the piste groomers in winter. It is a magnificent walk which, from the arrival at the Col de Porte, allows you to admire the view of Lake Geneva and the Alps, including Mont Blanc, for the rest of the route.
