Description of the walk

Park in one of the two car parks at Porz Scaff.

(S/E) Take the coastal path with the sea on your left. This path is marked in red and white. It is theGR®34.
Stay on this path until you reach the fork leading to the Castel Meur chasm.

(1) Turn left towards the chasm. Follow the path around the chasm, which forms a circular loop. When you reach the chasm, do not venture too close to the edge of the rocks, especially in strong winds.

(2) Return to the fork by following the coast with the sea on your right.

(1) Continue along the coast with the sea on your left. At the park house, do not go towards the car park but continue along the coastal path.
The path leads to another path. Do not take it for now and continue straight on to Pointe du Château.

(3) After admiring the site, return to the fork and take the path you left earlier on the left. Continue along the coast on theGR®34. The path leads to a beach where it becomes tarmac.
After about 100 metres, leave the tarmac and rejoin the path along the coast. From here, you can see the oyster beds at low tide.
After about 1.2 km, the path goes around a private property with a house. On this land, there is a burial mound which, unfortunately, cannot be visited.
Continue along the path until you reach some steps leading down to a small road.

(4) At the bottom of the steps, leave the coastal path and theGR® by turning right onto this small road.
Tip: from here, use the map or, better still, the Visorando app in conjunction with the description.
At the crossroads 60 metres further on, turn left and then keep right at the fork immediately after.

(5) At the T-junction, turn left, then turn right onto thefirst path.

(6) At the end of this path, turn right, then right again at the houses. Continue along this small road, ignoring the roads or paths that branch off to the left or right, until you see greenhouses on your left. Shortly after the greenhouses, at the next crossroads, continue straight ahead along the path under the trees.

(7) At the houses, continue to the right along the field until you reach a road.

(8) At the crossroads, turn right.

(9) After about 150 m, turn left. Ignore the path that branches off to the right and continue along the road, which becomes a path that leads to a road.

(10) Take this road on the left and follow it until you reach the coast and Porz Scaff (S/E).

Hike taken in January 2025 without sunshine but also without rain (in this rainy month of January, that's quite an achievement). Despite this, the landscapes were magnificent, the light was beautiful and the air was saturated with iodine! A real joy after several weeks of rain and low clouds. The coast holds surprises at every turn, and the walk along the paths (muddy at this time of year, of course) and small roads was also very pleasant, as it is home to a beautiful heritage of old granite houses.
We chose to start the hike inland and finish with a grand finale on the splendid coastal route.
Thank you for this hike.

Getting lost on this path without GPS is one thing, but with the Visiorando app? I don't understand...

Hello,
I am the author of this hike. I am sorry that it disappointed you.
Until now, the various reviews have been very positive.
Obviously, it is not possible to take weather conditions or the state of the paths into account in the description.
I invite you to try the hike again in better conditions and you will see that it is very enjoyable.

Very wet parish-specific to Brittany area between numbers 7 and 10, forced to take other routes to reach the sea.
We got lost several times between 6 and ?no landmarks? with the map and the Visorando app.

A very pleasant walk, enjoyed in beautiful sunshine.
The last part was a bit muddy, but given the recent rain, that was to be expected.
The GR 34 was damaged by the big storm this winter, so you have to take a detour at one point, but it's not complicated.

I extended my trip a little. I was staying at Le Roudour, so I left Le Roudour and continued on to Crec'h Run. I returned via Plougrescant to Le Roudour, adding an extra 4 km to my trip.

A beautiful discovery far from the crowds on the customs officers' path from Perros Guirec to Ploumanach. We only did the coastal section there and back after reading that the inland section was much less interesting, and we didn't regret it. You walk along the sea almost constantly and the scenery is very beautiful. Of course, the Pointe du Château, the Maison entre les Rochers and the Gouffre are remarkable sites, but the rest of the coast is also worth a detour. Highly recommended.

A very beautiful route with no difficulty. At one point, the path disappears, so you must follow the red and white GR34 markings on the road and shortly afterwards take the path on the left. It is very well marked.

A magnificent hike in the sunshine, with stunning scenery. The return journey takes you along small roads and country lanes, which are also very pleasant. Bring a satnav for the inland section.

A very beautiful hike, with two-thirds of the route along the sea offering magnificent views. The inland section is less interesting, but it is possible to start with this part or to do the round trip only along the coast – it's a matter of preference!

Estimated time is exactly three hours and the distance is also exactly 10 km, so there are no nasty surprises!

Many thanks to the Visorando team.
