Departure from the Ubine chalets (car park on the right-hand side of the road just before reaching the chalets). Access from Vacheresse (at the bottom of the Abondance Valley, between Chevenoz and Bonnevaux) via the small road signposted "Bise/Ubine" then "Ubine".

Directional signs at major intersections.
(S/E) From the car park, walk up to the chapel.
(1) Leave the chapel on your left, turn right and pass a bar-restaurant on your right. Follow a path that descends to a small stream. Cross the stream and follow the path continuing west-southwest. The path climbs, first through pastures and then through forest. You will reach a flat area in the undergrowth and then the edge between the woods and pastures.
(2) After a short descent, you will reach the Col de la Plagne and join the track that climbs up from Le Sauvage or Le Mont.
(3) Follow the track to the right and descend slightly. Climb back up to reach the Chalets d'Autigny via a final steep slope: the summit is now clearly visible to the north-west.
(4) Cross the group of chalets (note an oratory on the left and a painted cross on the right). Continue along a path that climbs up the hillside through pastures, heading west-northwest. Go through a few gates that allow pedestrians to pass but not livestock. Go around a grove of spruce trees and pass under a high-voltage power line.
(5) Just after (marker post), turn right onto a steep path. Follow a few switchbacks with rocky passages and reach the Trois Croix.
(6) Continue in the same direction on the flat section and you will soon reach the summit (orientation table).
(7) Return via the same route to Ubine (S/E).
